The Ursack Major is a certified bear-resistant bag made from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWP) fabric. It features a 6-foot cord with 2,500-pound tensile strength for secure hanging. The bag holds approximately 10.65 liters, suitable for up to 5 days of food for one person. It has a tighter weave and over double the tear strength compared to earlier models. The bag is critter resistant but less so than other Ursack models. An odor barrier bag and optional aluminum liner are recommended but sold separately. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty against bear damage over 1/4 inch.
